This indicator shows changes in the value of residential building permits issued in Florida in billion of dollars. Residential building construction and construction of the supporting infrastructure competes for labor and resources with highway construction and has been shown to influence roadway construction costs. The source for the database is U.S. Census Bureau and Florida Association of Realtors. This indicator is updated monthly with a one month lag time.
