Florida Fixed Route Monthly Transit Boardings

This indicator shows the monthly transit boardings that are "fixed route" for Florida in millions (M). This data includes the eleven largest transit properties in Florida which are Pinellas, Broward, Gainesville, Volusia, Miami-Dade, Central Florida Regional, Star-Metro, Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Hillsborough, and Tri-Rail. These eleven agencies carry approximately 95% of the total fixed route passengers in Florida. Fixed route means a route which a given transit mode follows and which remains the same over a period of time. Modes like Para transit don’t follow fixed routes. The data for this indicator comes from the monthly submissions to the National Transit Database.
